How do I move to eSIM on an iPhone?

If you're an existing VOXI customer, there are a couple of ways you can move from your physical SIM to an eSIM using Apple Quick Transfer. You just need to make sure you've got the below:

  • iOS 17.4 or later

  • A compatible Apple device (one of the below or newer)

    • iPhone XS

    • iPhone XS Max

    • iPhone XR (2018)

Convert a physical SIM to an eSIM on the same iPhone

  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > Mobile Service

  • Tap Convert to eSIM

  • Check the correct number is displayed and select Convert to eSIM

  • Your phone will start the activation process

  • Once activated, your previous SIM card will be deactivated, and you can remove it from your device

Convert to eSIM from a nearby phone:

  • Place both devices next to each other

  • On the iPhone you want to move to eSIM, go to Settings > Mobile Service

  • Select Transfer from Nearby iPhone

  • The device will look for a nearby device. Both devices need to be on iOS 17.4 or later

  • Follow any instructions on your previous iPhone to confirm the transfer. This may include entering a verification code

  • Wait for the eSIM to activated on your new iPhone. Once complete, your physical SIM card will become deactivated and can be removed from the device
